Cool movie.  Great music and bikes

the owners of doma’s inn are probably the most badass people i have ever met. they are from tibet but live in mussoorie and named the place after his adorable mother (doma) who comes around every so often and radiates cute old ladyness all over the place. so the owners, Tenzing and Tsering, a nice couple who built the place, are hardcore bikers. Tenzing and his son Tashi provide motorcycle tours of the immediate area and areas beyond. they go on overnight trips to other places in india, potentially very very far away. there are mopeds and silly cheap motorcycles all over the place in india, sometimes you will see a crotchrocket owned by a mid-20’s male, but they are mostly little hondas. now Tenzing, he has a harley. harleys are not common in india at all. they are too much money and too showy for the area. not only is his bike very large, but it is painted so beautifully with many different colors. he has prayer flags hanging across the handle bars and chrome galore! when i say these people are badass, i mean, BAD FREAKING ASS! you see his bike up above, you can only imagine what these people look like. Tenzing is a pretty big guy, typical older man belly but not fat at all. he wears huge rings on his finger, has a gold tooth or two, a goofy little beard, and it always decked out in leather vests or harley davidson garb. Tsering is a tiny little gal who always wears western style clothes (jeans, t-shirts, etc. not traditional indian garb) and a lot of ed hardy. she will also wear the occasional harley davidson shirt or leather vest, but she always has an adorable straw visor to protect her delicate face from the sun. on top of it, she always wears the prettiest turquoise jewelry. just yesterday we told her, “hey, tsering, i like your bracelet… oh and your watch… oh! and that necklace!” you should have seen her when she was dressed up for a tibetan wedding the other week. these people are very cool and interesting and i am always excited to see they are stopping by. the other day i was minding my own business and sitting in the lounge when i see Tenzing and Tsering pull up in their military-looking jeep-ish suv, Tsering with her visor on her lap and Tenzing with a huge cigar sticking out of his mouth. yep, most badass inn owners i will ever meet.

p.s. Tenzing is also an indian movie star and he is supposed to be filming a movie in ladakh during the same time we are visiting ladakh. one of his movie posters is hanging up in the dining room. just… too cool.
